2016 06 26 – RLSS UK Charity Sky Dive

Hello all,

I would appreciate if you could circulate this email within your Branch area and see if we can get one person from your branch area to participate in this.

So after my blue sky thinking and Nicky’s very hard work a date has been set for the RLSS UK Charity Sky Dive, I know that some of you may already have your 125 challenge in place, this is my 125 challenge. I would love it if I could get one person from each Branch area to join me on the day and take the leap. I am already registered and starting to get my donations in.

The date is Sunday 26th June, the venue for the skydive is Old Sarum Park, Salisbury, SP4 6EB. Although not next to the sea, which was my initial want, GoSkydive are the most experienced Skydive company in the UK. Those of you with amazing eye sight might be able to make out the sea at some point during the 10000ft jump, be it freefall or once your parachute is open! This is an opportunity for anyone within your Branch area. Have a look at the experience on their website http://www.goskydive.com/the-experience/your-skydive/.

Due to the cost of a Skydive we are asking you to raise £400 each, I know that this is a big ask but I am positive that we can all achieve this and beyond. The break down for where the money will go is as follows:
£225 – the cost of the skydive
£125 – to central RLSS UK because it is our 125th Birthday
£50 – to the Branch of the jumper
Any additional money raised will be split proportionally between RLSS UK central and the Branch.

Please take a look at the pre-skydive checklist http://www.goskydive.com/the-experience/pre-skydive-checklist/ and the terms and conditions http://www.goskydive.com/terms-and-conditions/ before you book onto the skydive.

You will be able to capture the day with photos and videos of your jump, during the SkyDive this can only be done by the staff at the centre and they have to use their own equipment, to have a look at these options click here http://www.goskydive.com/the-experience/capture-your-day/. I have done a skydive before and I would fully recommend getting a video if this is your first one. It would be great if we could have a picture of everyone at some point so we can let everyone at conference know what we have all done.

If this all sounds good and your excited about this experience please follow this link and get yourself booked on http://www.goskydive.com/royal-life-saving-society-uk/. You will be asked to pay a £50 deposit, once you have raised the £400 RLSS UK will pay the remainder for your jump and reimburse you for the £50 deposit, this can go towards getting that awesome video of your skydive. Please make sure that you have reached the £400 2 weeks prior to the date 12/6/16, this will ensure that we are able to pay for the remainder of the skydive as this is the deadline set by the company. Once you are registered please email myself helenbowker@rlss.org.uk and nickysargent@rlss.org.uk to let us know with your confirmation email from GoSkydive.

The next step is to set up your JustGiving page, please log onto JustGiving and add an event, select RLSS UK, event and the RLSS UK SkyDive will be there as an option.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to seeing you there
Kind Regards
